                                      About Us

Trinity Lutheran Church was founded in 1940 as a daughter church of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mokena, Illinois, and is a congregation in the English District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Contrary to popular opinion, the Lutheran Church is neither Protestant nor Roman Catholic, and yet features characteristics of both. As such, Trinity prides itself in its solid Lutheran heritage reflected in its liturgy, hymnody, preaching, and teaching. See the “Beliefs” page of this website for further explanation.

Trinity offers many opportunities to grow in joy, faith, and service in the name of Christ Jesus. We cordially invite you to visit us and experience what Trinity has to offer. If you would like further information about our church, or if you desire membership at Trinity, please contact the church at 815-485-6973.
